Timothy had passed several years prior, and his extended family was trying to decide if they could afford to refinance and keep the house. The Houston family home had been vacant for nearly 5 years. Their parents had passed years before that, never having left a will. Closing went well, no one had to drive to Chattanooga and the massive headache that followed them for so long was relieved! 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬, 𝐰𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐭!!

Eric and Marian had lived in their East Ridge home for 21 years. They were relocating across the country to be close to their family, and wanted a simple transaction. Pat moved to Rossville to be closer to family, and enjoyed being here for about 7 years. However, 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲. He had started some awesome rehab work on the house, but it was certainly not finished or market-ready. 𝙒𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙙𝙤𝙘𝙪𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙣 𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙩 𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙝!

Gary had lived in this home for several years, but due to poor health he had been in and out of the hospital for the last 2 years. Relatives had been living in the home, but unfortunately had not cared for the property as it needed. Scott had lived in his house in Hixson for many years. Unfortunately, a few health issues and career changes meant it just wasn't an affordable option, and the foreclosure attorneys had started their process before he reached out to us. 𝐖𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞, and give Scott some breathing room. It was an honor to hear him tell us that we'd taken a load off his mind! 𝘞𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘵 𝘶𝘱 𝘢 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘈𝘍𝘛𝘌𝘙 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘦, 𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘦. We wish Scott the very best! 

Larry and Linda had purchased their first home together about 45 years ago. They had not lived there for over 20 years, and it had been either a rental or spot for kinfolk since they moved. 𝙍𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙧, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙪𝙨 before more harm could come to the home. We closed within a week, and the money will pay off their current home, protecting them from future expenses!

Mike had a family home that was vacant for some time, but it needed significant work. He decided having 𝐚 𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐢𝐦, 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬. Mike travels frequently, but we were 𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙤𝙬𝙣, 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙣𝙤 𝙙𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙖 𝙤𝙧 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠-𝙖𝙣𝙙-𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝. The rehab project has already begun on this family home in Rossville, and it'll be a lovely project! 

Janet reached out to us after the passing of her husband, and was understandably anxious about the idea of selling her family home! We spoke on multiple occasions, and sat down with her extended family to 𝙥𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙖 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙧.

Sometimes life brings changes that are very difficult, and we are so thankful that Janet trusted us to help her with one of the biggest pieces of that process. Janet and her mother are now starting a new chapter in a home more suited to their needs, and we can't wait to see what happens at the adorable Craftsman Bungalow she and her husband took such good care of for so many years!

In recent years, other family had been living in the home but unfortunately didn't help with maintenance or the costs of owning a home. We were able to work out a way to get important possessions that Carolyn wanted to keep from the home and 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲. It was simple and easy, and with some time and effort will be the home she remembers, ready for a new family soon!

Jacque had bought a lovely cabin in the woods of North Georgia 10 years earlier. Circumstances kept her from moving in, and family had been using it for that whole time. After seeing this 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙣 𝙪𝙥𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙮, we reached out to the homeowners to see if we could help. 𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲. This enabled them to walk away with cash in their pocket rather than losing it all, and also gave them time and funds to find new housing. 

Mary Ann grew up in the house next door, and she and her brother had both 𝓫𝓾𝓲𝓵𝓽 𝓱𝓸𝓶𝓮𝓼 𝓸𝓷 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓯𝓪𝓶𝓲𝓵𝔂 𝓹𝓻𝓸𝓹𝓮𝓻𝓽𝔂 over 40 years ago. After her husband passed and the rest of the family had moved on from the family place, she struggled to hold onto the house through multiple bankruptcies, and the 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞. Fortunately, she was able to keep everything important to her from the home, including getting a few things out of the home after we closed. 𝙒𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥, 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝘼𝙣𝙣 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙣 𝙖 𝙝𝙪𝙜𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙨 to make her more comfortable at her current home!

The Family of Ms. Vonzella tried to sell her house after she passed, 𝚋𝚞𝚝 𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚌𝚊𝚜𝚑 𝚋𝚞𝚢𝚎𝚛𝚜 𝚌𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍𝚗'𝚝 𝚏𝚒𝚐𝚞𝚛𝚎 𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚝𝚐𝚊𝚐𝚎 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚋𝚊𝚝𝚎. 𝐖𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞!
