David met us over a year ago. His father was working on cancer treatments, and lived in an amazing basement apartment in the house. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲!

Gary had lived in this home for several years, but due to poor health he had been in and out of the hospital for the last 2 years. Scott had lived in his house in Hixson for many years. Larry and Linda had purchased their first home together about 45 years ago. They had not lived there for over 20 years, and it had been either a rental or spot for kinfolk since they moved. David was in the midst of a major career switch, as well as combining households. All good things, but it meant the house he had bought about 18 months earlier wasn't needed. Mike had a family home that was vacant for some time, but it needed significant work. Janet reached out to us after the passing of her husband, and was understandably anxious about the idea of selling her family home! We spoke on multiple occasions, and sat down with her extended family to 𝙥𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙖 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙧.
Sometimes life brings changes that are very difficult, and we are so thankful that Janet trusted us to help her with one of the biggest pieces of that process. Janet and her mother are now starting a new chapter in a home more suited to their needs, and we can't wait to see what happens at the adorable Craftsman Bungalow she and her husband took such good care of for so many years!
Jacque had bought a lovely cabin in the woods of North Georgia 10 years earlier. Circumstances kept her from moving in, and family had been using it for that whole time. Unfortunately, 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞, and there was a very long list of repairs the home needed.
